March 13, 2027 — Langley Skating Club Ice Show
The Langley Skating Club will be hosting our biennial Ice Show at the conclusion of the 2026/27 Fall/Winter Season.
All skaters registered in LSC programs are expected to participate in the Ice Show. Additional Ice Show fees will be added to registration to cover costumes, additional ice time, and coaching requirements during the show preparation period.

- Ice Show Practices: February 25 - March 10, 2027

A full practice schedule will be provided once registration numbers are finalized and the schedule has been created. Please note that regular skating times will be adjusted during the two weeks of Ice Show practices. Skaters may be required to attend additional sessions outside of their regular scheduled time.
Every effort must be made to attend all practice sessions. Attendance will be taken at each practice.
Attendance at the Dress Rehearsal on Thursday, March 11th is mandatory in order to participate in the Saturday Ice Show performances.
Skaters will be required to arrive approximately one hour before each performance.
Karen is already hard at work designing the Ice Show program and individual numbers for each skating group. We are extremely excited to share what she has planned for our skaters!
The LSC Board has also been working hard behind the scenes to make this event happen. We look forward to working with all of our skating families to create another amazing Ice Show.
⛸️ CanSkate
A $75 Ice Show Fee will be added per skater registration. This fee helps cover costumes, additional ice time, and coaching fees required for Ice Show preparation.
CanSkaters will also have a $50 Volunteer Bond added to their Fall registration. This represents a minimum requirement of 2 volunteer hours per skater.
Volunteer opportunities will be posted after the start of the season. Families will have until the end of June 2027 to complete their volunteer hours. Completed hours will be applied against the Volunteer Bond.
⛸️ Junior & Junior Academy
A $100 Ice Show Fee will be added per skater registration to cover costumes and additional coaching and ice fees.
⛸️ Teen / Adult
A $75 Ice Show Fee will be added per skater registration to cover costumes and additional coaching and ice fees.
Requests for exemption from participation must be submitted to the LSC Board for review.
⛸️ Intermediate / Senior STARSkate
Once Ice Show numbers and costs have been finalized, Intermediate and Senior skaters will receive an invoice for the Ice Show Fee, which will include their costume fee.

- Current Members: Registration opens before new skaters until 11:59 pm August 8th.
- Early Bird Discount: Current members will receive a 10% Early Bird discount until 11:59 pm August 8th.
- New skaters can register beginning 12:01 AM, August 9th
- Payment plans are available during registration.
- A $65.00 Skate Canada membership and insurance fee will be added to every skater registration.
⭐ Volunteer Bond Information
Volunteer bond requirements apply to applicable programs. Families who plan to complete volunteer hours and have their bond held until the end of June 2027 must select the payment plan option.
If registration is paid in full, the volunteer bond amount will be added to the invoice and paid immediately.

- Maximum registration is 3 days per week for the CanSkate program.
Junior / Junior Academy

Intermediate / Senior STARSkaters

🏆 LSC Performance Path: Saturday Series
The Langley Skating Club Performance Path: Saturday Series is an exclusive training opportunity for STAR 6+ skaters dedicated to competitive growth and excellence.
This session provides targeted feedback and monthly performance simulations to support continued development in a structured training environment.
Criteria:- Senior Freeskate Competitor.
- Participates in at least 3 of the 5 Fall/Winter freeskate competitions.
- Minimum training commitment of 4 days per week (Saturday is an additional training day).
- Demonstrates commitment to personal growth, training focus, and competitive performance.
- Priority will be given to STAR 6+ Senior skaters.
Eligibility will be determined by the Director of Skating based on the criteria outlined above.

CanSkate: Ages 4 - 12. Skaters must be 4 years old by the session start date to enroll.

Ages 13 – Adult. Skaters must be 13 years old by the session start date to enroll. This session is designed for skaters with no experience to minimal experience on the ice.

This session is for experienced skaters who have a history of Figure Skating but have been away from the sport for a number of years.

Program Assistant Training (PA)
Our Program Assistants are an important part of our CanSkate program. PA's assist coaches with teaching younger skaters while gaining valuable leadership experience.

- PA hours may count toward volunteer/career hours required for high school graduation.
