Welcome Back!

The 2026/27 Fall/Winter season begins in September and runs through March. Please review the important dates below for schedule changes, competitions, simulations, holidays, and special events.

Fall/Winter Start Dates

  • Sportsplex: Wednesday, September 9, 2026 – March 12, 2027
  • George Preston: Tuesday, September 8, 2026 – March 13, 2027

2026/27 Fall/Winter Season Soft Start

No group lessons the first week back.

Tuesday, September 8, 2026 — George Preston (Revised Schedule)

  • 3:45 – 4:45 p.m. Intermediate A/B Freeskate
  • 4:45 – 5:00 p.m. Intermediate A/B Development
  • 5:00 – 5:15 p.m. FLOOD
  • 5:15 – 6:15 p.m. Senior A/B Freeskate
  • 6:15 – 6:30 p.m. Senior A/B Development
  • 6:30 – 6:45 p.m. FLOOD (quick break for coaches)
  • 6:45 – 8:45 p.m. Coaches Mentoring Coaches — On Ice

Coaches Mentoring Coaches: All COACHES are highly encouraged to ATTEND Tuesday, September 8th @ George Preston from 5:45 – 7:45 p.m.
A more detailed schedule will follow along with a revised schedule for the afternoon sessions.

Wednesday, September 9, 2026 — Sportsplex (Revised Schedule)

  • 3:30 – 4:15 p.m. Intermediate A/B Freeskate
  • 4:15 – 4:30 p.m. Intermediate A/B & Senior A/B Spins
  • 4:30 – 5:15 p.m. Senior A/B Freeskate
  • 5:15 – 5:30 p.m. FLOOD (skaters to have a snack)
  • 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. PA Training
  • 7:30 – 8:00 p.m. PA Team Social (food, snacks, games)

PA Training: Wednesday, September 9th @ Sportsplex 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
A more detailed schedule will follow along with a revised schedule for the afternoon sessions.

Rest of First Week — September 10th - 12th, 2026

Thursday, September 10th and Friday, September 11th will run regular schedules. Saturday, September 12th will have a schedule change as follows:

Regular schedules resume. All group lessons begin this week, with parent information nights to be scheduled.

  • 3. Thursday, September 24th — Simulation
    No regular skating for Intermediates and Seniors. See #5 below for Autumn Leaves simulation details.
    Regular Teen/Adult skating session: 7:00 - 7:45 p.m.
  • 4. Wednesday, September 30th — Holiday
    National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
    No regular skating due to the holiday.
  • 5. 2026 SS Autumn Leaves: Simulation
    October 1st - 4th @ Chilliwack.
    Simulation: Thursday, September 24th @ George Preston, 3:45 - 6:45 p.m.
    FLOOD change: 6:45 - 7:00 p.m., then regular schedule continues.
    Teen/Adult: 7:00 - 7:45 p.m.
  • 6. Monday, October 12th — Holiday
    Thanksgiving Day.
    No skating that day.
  • 7. Saturday, October 31st — Halloween.
    Regular skating that day.
    Wear your favourite costume (remember it needs to be safe for skating).
  • 8. 2026 Skate Canada BC/YT Sectionals SS:
    November 5th - 8th @ Kelowna.
    No simulation - limited entries from LSC.
  • 9. Wednesday, November 11th — Holiday
    Remembrance Day.
    No skating that day.
  • 10. Thursday, November 12th — Simulation
    Jingle Blades Simulation: 3:45 - 6:45 p.m.
    FLOOD change: 6:45 - 7:00 p.m., then regular schedule continues.
    Teen/Adult: 7:00 - 7:45 p.m.
  • 11. 2026 Jingle Blades Competition:
    November 19th - 22nd @ TBA.
    Simulation: Thursday, November 12th @ George Preston, 3:45 - 6:45 p.m.
  • 12. Friday, December 4th, 2026 —
    NO REGULAR MORNING (6:00 - 8:00 a.m.) SKATING due to Sportsplex BLACK OUT.
    Afternoon schedule continues as usual (3:30 - 6:30 p.m.).
  • 13. Saturday, December 5th, 2026 —
    NO REGULAR MORNING (7:00 - 10:45 a.m.) SKATING OR CLASSES due to George Preston BLACK OUT.

  • Simulation 2027 SS BC Coast Regionals/WinterSkate Competition: January 28th - January 31st, 2027 @ Richmond Minoru.
    Simulation: Friday, January 22nd @ Sportsplex, 4:30 - 6:30 p.m.
    Possible FLOOD change: 4:15 - 4:30 p.m.
  • Holiday Monday, February 15th, 2027 — Family Day.
    No regular skating today.
  • No Skating Tuesday, February 23rd, 2027 — No regular skating today.
    STAR 1 Event: 3:45 - 6:45 p.m.
    Simulation: 2027 SS Final, 7:00 - 8:45 p.m.
    Please note: times may need to be adjusted.
    Senior A/B skaters to volunteer for STAR 1 Event.
  • Wednesday, February 24th, 2027 — Final day of regular Fall/Winter Season due to Ice Show practices beginning.
    See below for more information.
  • 2027 SS STARSkate Final Competition: March 4th - 7th, 2027 @ Kelowna.
    No STARSkate simulation due to limited registrations.
    This will be covered during Saturday Simulation Day.
  • No March High Test Days: Due to March Ice Show.
  • Saturday, March 13th, 2027 — Last day of Fall/Winter schedule.
    Reminder: Ice Show practices begin February 25th.
